Eco Flexibles has been shortlisted for two sought-after UK Packaging Awards, recognising the company’s continued innovation in sustainable flexible packaging.
Showcasing the very best in packaging excellence across the breadth and depth of the industry, the UK Packaging Awards are an institution in the print packaging world. Eco Flexibles has been shortlisted in the following categories:
Best Packaging of a New Product – Booja-Booja Hot Chocolate
Innovation of the Year – Just. Greens Health Powders
For Booja-Booja’s Hot Chocolate range, Eco Flexibles developed a recyclable mono-PP pouch combining premium shelf appeal with a high-performance packaging structure.
The pouch uses water-based digital printing, produced on the Fujifilm Jet Press FP790, delivering sharp imagery and a smooth matte finish while maintaining the moisture barrier needed to protect the product. The success of the initial launch has since led to five new SKUs being added to the range in 2026.
For Just. Greens, Eco Flexibles developed a paper-based pouch designed to be 100% recyclable through paper recycling streams, providing an alternative to traditional supplement packaging conventional plastic containers.
The packaging combines water-based Fujifilm CMYK+W inkjet printing with in-house material screening to deliver high-quality graphics and the performance required to protect the product, demonstrating the potential of paper-based flexible packaging without compromising on presentation or functionality. “The UK Packaging Awards are always a highlight in the calendar,” Simon Buswell, Eco Flexibles’ Sales and Marketing Director, noted. “It’s a real pleasure to be shortlisted in two categories, especially by everyone who put so much work into getting those products off the ground.”
