DS Smith, an International Paper company, was recognized at the Shop! D-A-C-H Awards 2026 for its innovative, sustainable and impactful point-of-sale solutions. On June 16th, the leading global provider of sustainable, fibre-based display and packaging solutions, was once again honoured for three Point-of-Sale (POS) concepts across different award categories. The judging criteria focused on design, functionality, brand presentation, and sustainability.
Experience Placement “Display F1 Car”
Gold Winner in the Beverages & Tobacco Category
With the “Display F1 Car” experience placement, DS Smith created an eye-catching XXL sales display for beverage cans. A striking replica race car made from recycled corrugated cardboard delivers maximum visual impact and attracts attention from a distance. The products themselves are presented on Euro pallets (a standardized wooden shipping pallet) positioned beneath the vehicle. Despite its scale, the display features compact shipping dimensions, excellent stability, and a logistically friendly design, making it both effective and highly practical.
HiPP “Herzchenschale Display”
Gold Winner in the Food, Everyday Consumer Goods & Confectionery Category
For the relaunch of the Herzchenschale Display (HiPP Heart Bowls), DS Smith developed a premium and engaging display and concept that is designed to encourage children to explore and interact with the brand at the point of sale. The display’s standout feature is a colourful wooden play kitchen, integrated in cooperation with small foot GmbH & Co. KG. Once the promotion has ended, the display, which is made from recyclable paper-based materials, can be fully recycled through the paper waste stream, supporting a circular approach to resource use.
COMPO „Aqua Depot Display”
Silver Winner in the Home, DIY & Garden Category
To support the launch of the new Aqua Depot product range, which includes liquid fertilizers among its offerings, DS Smith’s design team developed a custom-designed concept: an oversized watering can with a zinc-effect finish that serves as the display’s central eye-catcher. Made entirely from recycled paper-based materials and designed to fit on a quarter pallet, the display combines strong shelf impact with efficient use of retail space. A freely suspended water droplet beneath the spout visually reinforces the campaign message: “Help Save Water.”
