The Berry Global stand at Packaging Innovations and Empack 2025 will showcase the huge variety of rigid and flexible plastic packaging that the company offers for retail and industrial applications. Samples on display will cover a wide range of end-markets including food and beverage, beauty and personal care, surface coatings, homecare, horticulture, and agriculture.
Central to the company’s ongoing new product development work is the creation of solutions in line with circular economy principles, namely to design out waste and pollution and keep product and materials in use. Examples on show include products with high content of post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic and which offer improved recyclability, lightweighted packs, and mono-material and reusable solutions. Berry will also showcase its proprietary, closed-loop CleanStream® technology – the UK’s first domestically recovered, mechanically recycled polypropylene (PP) for contact-sensitive, homecare and industrial applications.
New to the company’s extensive range of beauty and personal care products is the introduction of additional smaller sizes – 15ml, 20ml and 25ml – into its Exclusive Stick and Refill range, offering a convenient, attractive, and refillable on-the-go pack solution.
For a variety of food and non-food products, Berry will highlight its wide range of containers that feature initiatives such as lightweighting, the use of recycled plastic, and the inclusion of robust plastic handles to replace metal versions, which provides a mono-material pack solution for easier recycling. Importantly all these benefits have been achieved while maintaining the containers’ performance and functionality.
Berry’s range of reusable cups for hot and cold beverages for the foodservice market represent another important development. They are dishwasher safe with a robust construction that combines a premium quality feel and high-impact branding opportunities. Despite this durability, the cups are lightweight and can be recycled when they finally reach their end of life, as they are made from high-quality PP.
Another innovation for the drinks sector is the company’s Secure Slip 26mm sports cap with a patented coloured non-detachable tamper-evident band that enables users to easily confirm that the product has not been previously opened. The snap-back hinge allows easy, one-handed opening and the ergonomic spout ensures a pleasant drinking experience.
Berry’s Flexibles division will showcase its wide selection of films for food and beverage applications. The innovative Omni® Xtra+ polyethylene cling film for fresh foods provides a high-performance alternative to traditional hard-to-recycle PVC cling films. For bags, pouches, stand-up pouches, and flow wraps, Berry’s range of Entour® mono-material lamination films and its laminated pouches offer recyclable alternatives to traditional multi-material PET/PE and OPET/PE laminate films that cannot be easily recycled.
Among its range of tertiary stretch films for pallet protection, Berry will be launching a new version of its Bontite™ Stretch Film containing 30% PCR content in the form of Berry’s Sustane® recycled content. The new film helps companies to meet both their own sustainability commitments and latest packaging regulations, while ensuring effective pallet protection and load stability.
Berry’s Flexibles division will also be showing its portfolio of FFS (form-fill-seal) and single wound sheeting solutions for industrial and food applications.
