AVT (Advanced Vision Technology), a global supplier of print inspection solutions, has confirmed the appointment of Mark Nixon in the role of global sales account development.
Based in London, Nixon boasts an extensive, decades-long career in the print industry. He has a long history of working closely with customers to deliver specialist solutions across a range of sectors. Nixon joins AVT from Scodix, where he spent more than a decade. He most recently served as executive vice president of sales and marketing.
“We pride ourselves on the fact that our salespeople are experts in the print industry that provide consultancy to our customers,” says Roy Porat, CEO of AVT. “Mark’s insight and experience are a great fit for AVT, and we’re delighted to have him on board in this key position, where he will listen, advise and tailor the best inspection solution for a customer’s needs.
“We continue to consolidate our leading position in print inspection and color measurement solutions and are now looking to successfully penetrate new markets,” adds Porat. “This new appointment underlines our commitment to ensuring we empower the global AVT sales team to realize our goal of helping customers maximize their efficiency, profitability, and trust in AVT as a long-term partner.”
Focusing on flexo
In his new role, Nixon will help develop global strategic flexo accounts that require 100% print inspection and advanced color measurement technology. He will help ensure accuracy and consistency across AVT’s facilities.
“I’m thrilled to be joining AVT at such an exciting point in its journey,” states Nixon. “This is a terrific opportunity to work with a talented team at a well-established, respected brand and a trusted company that has made clear its strong ambitions for growth.
“Obviously AVT has been in the sector for decades, and I’ve already been impressed by how dedicated the team is and how everyone has a clear, united focus on putting the customer first and ensuring they are at the center of everything they do,” he adds. “As a veteran in the print sector, I follow industry news closely and in 2025 saw that while the AVT brand is renowned for its excellence in print inspection and color measurement, the company is also showing its agility. I strongly relate to its customer-first strategy, underlined by the recent move to a new pricing model, which is helping customers by making ongoing maintenance and support more accessible and affordable.”
Nixon is the latest in a double-digit raft of appointments since AVT became a standalone business under new ownership in 2025. The move follows co-owner Roy Porat emerging as the new CEO. Plus, Dror Danai joined as AVT President, EMEA & APAC.
“With a renewed direction and vision, AVT is reaffirming its role as a trusted leader for print professionals across the globe,” says Porat. “We are proudly committed to delivering 100% defect detection, reliable ROI-focused solutions, and state-of-the-art AI inspection technologies coupled with customer service that is unrivaled.”
