HP has unveiled its current digital printing technologies for packaging and labels, with the installation of 3,000 HP Indigo presses globally. HP presented its HP Indigo digital press line-up, focused on allowing converters to identify the recent industry hurdles like limited labor, fastest turnarounds, sustainability requirements, and rising costs for an increasing variety of products. Among the new products, the HP Indigo 6K+ digital press, along with a new smartcontrol system, the HP Indigo 200K, and the HP Indigo V12 digital press using LEPx technology, have expanded HPs offering for flexible and convenient labels and packaging. The event also witnessed the installation of HPs 3,000th press for packaging and labels, with the Dublin-related converter watershed turning into a recipient of the successful HP Indigo 6K+. The vice president and general manager of HP Indigo, Noam Zilbershtain, focused on the relevance of these developments to the recent environment within the industry.
HP Indigo V12 utilization
The HP Indigo V12 digital press is planned for high output and speed in production, especially for on-demand label production at a rate of 120 metres per minute. This digital press is introduced to contribute to the mid and high-volume print jobs, providing management of various SKUs and the fastest turnarounds, focusing on serving consistency in quality printing. The company claims that the V12 has achieved a monthly production of crossing 1 million linear metres in the customer space. Further, it plans to help converters cut labor needs, control dependency on analog devices, and boost operational efficiency.
The chief executive officer of Nordvalls, Patrik Jenemark, specified the impact of the V12 digital press on their operations, saying, “The HP Indigo V12 has substantially changed our operations. It complements best to the traditional methods, and it has bolstered our operational efficiency. Weve managed to diminish the setup times, reduce waste, and enhance the response time in our production department. The press has allowed us to use an intelligent and flexible technology with limited machines and greater output. Its a positive impact on our business, and approaching the second HP Indigo V12 was an instant miracle in our journey to the digital transformation.”
Additionally, the HP Indigo 6K+ digital press includes a new smart control system promoting double the reliability, adaptability, and automation, reflecting HPs intention to strengthen the potency across the digital label presses.
