Designed as a sustainable alternative to traditional plastic BOPP/PVC tapes, these gummed paper tapes are poised to revolutionize the packaging industry.
Emphasizing Sustainability and Strength
In an era increasingly focused on eco-friendly packaging solutions, APIPL’s Reinforced Gummed Paper Tapes offer a robust answer to the industry’s demands. These tapes consist of two layers of paper reinforced with glass fibre scrim, providing exceptional strength. Coated with a vegetable starch-based adhesive that possesses re-activating properties, the tapes require no release coating, a common necessity in pressure-sensitive tapes.
When activated with water and applied to the flaps of cartons, the adhesive absorbs into the cardboard, creating a strong bond. As the water evaporates, the tape and carton fuse together, ensuring secure and tamper-evident packaging. This innovative feature not only safeguards the contents but also makes it evident if any tampering occurs, as the tape will either damage the box or itself, leaving a clear mark.
Additionally, once the package reaches its destination and is opened, both the tape and the box can seamlessly enter the recycling chain, making them eco-friendly from start to finish.

Notably, the Reinforced Gummed Paper Tapes have already achieved 100% PEFC certification and comply with RoHS and REACH regulations, underlining APIPL’s commitment to quality and sustainability.
