Fosber recently hosted a press conference to unveil its ambitious expansion project for its production site, a collaboration between Fosber Group and Dong Fang Group. The project, presented by Marco Bertola, CEO of Fosber Group, and Andrea Bonfanti, Mayor of Pescaglia, marks a significant milestone for the company and the local community.
Established in Lucca in 1978, Fosber has grown into a global entity with over 800 employees worldwide. Recognizing the need for expansion to accommodate its expanding operations, Fosber chose to invest in its headquarters in Monsagrati (Pescaglia LU), reaffirming its commitment to its roots and the local community.
The expansion project, encompassing approximately 58,600 square meters, will transform the industrial area into a Fosber hub, breathing new life into the Valfreddana Valley. Marco Bertola expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “We are excited to announce this project. We have considered other locations for possible expansion, but we believe our strength lies where our roots are deep. We are grateful for the support and collaboration of Mayor Bonfanti and the entire administrative team.”
Mayor Andrea Bonfanti commended Fosber and Dong Fang Group for their investment in the region, emphasizing the positive impact the expansion will have on the local economy and community. “This significant investment reflects the fruitful collaboration between the municipality and the company, aiming to create favorable conditions for Fosber to thrive in the area,” Mayor Bonfanti remarked.
The new facility will prioritize efficiency and well-being for both customers and employees, with tailored services and optimized environments. Moreover, the project underscores Fosber and Dong Fang Group’s commitment to sustainable growth, with plans for a 3MW power generation plant to ensure environmental friendliness and self-sufficiency.
Construction is set to commence within the year, signaling a new chapter of growth and development for Fosber and the Valfreddana Valley.
