JBM Packaging, a leading provider of eco-friendly paper packaging and contract packaging services, recently broke ground on the construction of a new 52,500-square-foot building in Lebanon, Ohio. The building marks a significant step in JBM’s continued growth as it celebrates its 40 anniversary. As the new home to JBM’s expanding packing and kitting operations, it positions JBM to scale its operations for long-term growth opportunities in the years ahead.
“As we celebrate 40 years of business, this expansion really shows how far we’ve come and where we’re going,” said Marcus Sheanshang, President and CEO of JBM Packaging. “We’ve spent the past few years looking for the right place to grow, and ultimately, the answer was right in our backyard. By building just down from our headquarters, we can stay rooted in the Lebanon community while creating the space we need to grow, strengthen our team and better serve our customers.”
The new facility will be constructed on an 11-acre tract of previously undeveloped land just west of I-71. Located just one mile down the road from JBM’s headquarters on Henkel Drive, the first phase of the project will feature a prefabricated concrete building with 28-foot clear height ceilings.
It will be divided into two units—JBM will lease and occupy 26,801 square feet, while 25,699 square feet, fronting Kingsview Drive, is available for lease. Each unit will include two loading dock doors and a drive-in dock door. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of February 2026.
“As our kitting and filling business has grown, space has become a challenge,” said Dan Puthoff, Chief Financial Officer, JBM Packaging. “This expansion helps us keep up with demand, shorten lead times and welcome more team members through our Fair Chance Program. It’s a big step forward in carrying out our purpose of building better solutions, better lives and a better world.”
