BHS Corrugated has received the prestigious Best Managed Companies Award for the fourth time, earning gold status in the seal of approval for outstandingly managed companies. The leading solution provider for the corrugated industry thus continues its success story and, as in the previous three participations, was able to convince the top-class jury of experts. Group CFO Dr. Thomas List and Group COO Christian Schneider accepted the award at the award ceremony on May 22, 2025, in Frankfurt am Main. The Best Managed Companies Award is presented by Deloitte Private, UBS, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e.V.
“Participation in the Best Managed Companies Award is an integral part of BHS Corrugated’s annual calendar. This year’s award is a real milestone for us – the gold status confirms the sustainability of our success and shows us that BHS Corrugated is on the right track as a partner for its customers and as a leading employer in the region to master current and future challenges. Special thanks go to our global team, whose commitment and willingness to embrace continuous change and innovation are key to the success of our company,” commented Dr. Thomas List on the award.
As an innovation driver and leading solution provider, BHS Corrugated is shaping the future of the corrugated industry together with its customers. A new era begins with “Corruverse”. It encompasses an entire universe of technologies, solutions and services for the holistic, intelligent, adaptable corrugated box plant. It completes what BHS Corrugated has built up in recent years under “Box Plant 2025”: a comprehensive optimization of all core areas of the corrugated box plant for maximum profitability. All of these innovations have one thing in common: as a technology leader, BHS Corrugated understands the challenges its customers face in the digital age – and solves them.
“Best Managed Companies like BHS Corrugated have impressively demonstrated their outstanding corporate management. Their success is based on a well thought-out and intelligent business model, a highly motivated team and the unconditional will to initiate and implement new ideas. As pioneers and role models, they have more than earned their Best Managed Companies award,” explains Markus Seiz, Director at Deloitte Private and head of the Best Managed Companies program.
The basic requirements for qualifying for the Best Managed Companies Award are a minimum annual turnover of 150 million euros and the company’s headquarters in Germany. In addition, the companies must be medium-sized or family-owned and have demonstrated successful economic development in recent years. The companies are assessed in four categories: strategy, productivity and innovation, culture and commitment as well as governance and finance. Based on the application documents and the evaluation of the personal interviews, the Best Managed Companies Award expert panel defined the shortlist—the winners were then selected by a jury consisting of renowned representatives from business, academia and the media.
