In October 2024, Palm acquired 100 per cent of the shares in John Hargreaves (Collyhurst & Stalybridge) Ltd, a family-owned corrugated sheet plant based in Stalybridge near Manchester.
The company manufactures corrugated products in single face reels, double face sheets and fanfold and has a sales revenues in excess of €20m.
With this acquisition, Palm expands the geographical footprint of its corrugated division to the UK and furthers vertical integration, as John Hargreaves will be supplied with recycled paper from Palm’s containerboard mills in Germany and France.

Palm operates 5 paper mills with a total capacity of 2.6 million tpy of paper, 29 corrugated packaging plants and 2 recycling companies. The company employs over 4,200 people and had sales revenues of €2bn in 2023.
