SUN625HD builds on the company’s established reputation for durability and performance, incorporating several key enhancements designed to improve efficiency and reliability in rotary die-cutting operations.
SUN Automation Group (SUN), a global provider of innovative solutions for the corrugated industry, has announced the launch of the SUN625® HD Rotary Die Cutter. This new model, the SUN625HD, builds on the company’s established reputation for durability and performance, incorporating several key enhancements designed to improve efficiency and reliability in rotary die-cutting operations.
The SUN625 RDC has been a mainstay in the industry for over a decade and is known for its consistent performance and dependability. With the introduction of the SUN625HD, SUN Automation Group has updated the machine to better withstand the demands of high-speed, high-volume production. The new model is installed in several locations across North America, demonstrating its capabilities in real-world applications.
The SUN625HD introduces several upgrades, including a 300% increase in load capacity and a 500% improvement in fatigue resistance. These enhancements are complemented by a 60% reduction in deflection under load, which contributes to improved cutting precision and product quality. Additionally, the SUN625HD features larger journals and enhanced structural rigidity, making it suitable for cutting tough materials, such as heavy-weight paper and double-wall corrugated board, often required in packaging for industries like protein and agriculture.
“We are excited to introduce the SUN625 Heavy Duty Die Cutter, which represents a significant advancement in die-cutting operations,” says Eric Aulton, Product Manager for the SUN625. “This new iteration incorporates several enhancements that will allow our customers to achieve greater efficiency and accuracy in their production processes.”
The updated machine also includes a patent-pending nip position and a larger diameter anvil cylinder aimed at providing smoother operation and greater control. These features reflect SUN’s focus on developing machinery that addresses the specific needs of its customers and supports their operational goals.
“With these improvements to our rotary die cutter, SUN is not only addressing current market requirements but also preparing for future challenges,” says Greg Jones, Executive Vice President at SUN. “SUN Automation Group is committed to delivering reliable, high-quality equipment that supports the success of our customers.”
These updates are part of SUN Automation Group’s ongoing efforts to enhance its product offerings in response to market demands. As the die-cutting market evolves, SUN remains dedicated to providing solutions that help customers optimize their operations and meet the increasing challenges they face.
