Biddeford, Maine based Volk Packaging Corporation announced that Joe Curesky has accepted the position of Chief Operating Officer.
Curesky has a long and distinguished career in the box business. He was formerly with Westrock, Southern Container, and Weyerhaeuser before joining Volk.
“After working in the integrated world for over 20 years, I knew it would be exciting to join a family run business,” Curesky said.
“Volk Packaging shares the same core values that I have long believed in — customer centric, accountability, respect and excellence. That made the decision easy.
“Derek Volk, Owner and CEO, has a powerful vision for our future. Equipment upgrades, EOS implementation, and a new ERP system for 2024.
“His love and commitment to Volk Packaging and the people that work here are like nothing I’ve seen before. I am proud to support him in leading this amazing team.”
Said Volk, “We have never had a COO so this was a big step for us. We couldn’t be more thrilled that Joe decided to join my already incredible leadership team. I am very blessed.”
Volk Packaging is in a significant growth mode having recently started a contract packaging and fulfillment division, as well as purchasing an Apstar Rotary Die-Cutter and an Apstar Flexo-Folder Gluer.
Volk Packaging employs nearly 100 people, including 10 Sales Representatives with a combined 193 years of experience in corrugated, four Designers and six dedicated Customer Service Representatives.
