Amtech Software, the AI-powered ERP and MES provider built for packaging manufacturers, this week welcomed more than 240 packaging leaders from across North America and beyond to the Amtech User Conference 2026 in Nashville. Under the theme “Compete Smarter. Operate Stronger.” the three-day event features more than 80 breakout sessions and product deep dives, along with a clear message about where Amtech is investing next: AI, MES and the cloud.
A stronger Amtech since the last conference
A lot has changed since customers last gathered in 2024. Vista Equity Partners, which invests only in enterprise software, acquired Amtech from Peak Rock Capital in mid-2025. Since then, Amtech has nearly doubled in size, with its product and technology organization growing more than 143%. The company also welcomed Clarico Systems, a leader in AI-powered quoting and estimating for packaging manufacturers, and added senior leaders across technology, infrastructure and security, and AI and data.
Amtech continues to welcome new packaging manufacturers to its customer base. To serve new and existing customers better, Amtech nearly doubled its support team, leading to significantly faster response times and case resolution.
“Two years ago, our customers told us what they needed: more efficiency, more ways to win business, and a partner investing ahead of them, not behind them,” said Chuck Schneider, CEO of Amtech Software. “With Vista backing us, we’ve grown our team, upleveled our support, and shipped AI into packaging workflows. Everything we build now has one goal: help our customers win more work and keep their plant’s data locked down.”
Where Amtech is going: AI, MES and the cloud
AI built into the work plants already do. Amtech Intelligence embeds AI into the Amtech ERP and MES screens teams already use, rather than bolting it on. It is already at work in Amtech Quick Quote, where an AI agent reads incoming quote requests in whatever format customers send them and prepares the details for an estimator to review, cutting the manual work between a customer’s email and a finished quote. More agents across the quote-to-cash process are in development, and Amtech is delivering MCP to open EnCore to the AI assistants customers already use. Every Amtech agent follows the same rule: agents propose, people approve, and customer data stays under customer control.
Security and scalability in the cloud. Built on AWS through a new partnership, Amtech is providing packaging plants world-class security, monitoring, backup and maintenance handled by Amtech’s dedicated cloud and security team. Moving to the cloud also puts plant data where AI can do the most with it. Amtech’s security program is built on recognized industry frameworks, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and ISO 27001.
From equipment performance to plant performance. Amtech announced Team Performance, a platform that connects everyone on the plant floor, from operators and material handlers to supervisors and managers, around the same priorities, across shifts and across languages. Together with new AI-driven scheduling intelligence being developed alongside customers, Team Performance is designed to deliver step change improvements to throughput, on-time delivery and workforce engagement.
More for multi-plant and specialty operations. Contract packaging and hand assembly capabilities are available today in EnCore. Amtech is also re-imagining its customer portal and expanding enterprise capabilities for multi-plant manufacturers, shaped by a new customer Enterprise Council.
“We’re not building a faster horse,” said Danna Nelson, Senior Vice President, Product at Amtech Software. “Our customers don’t need AI for its own sake. They need automation and decisioning embedded inside quoting, scheduling and the plant floor, where it saves real time and a person stays in control. That’s exactly what we’re building, and it’s being shaped by our Customer AI Council and our customers attending the conference.”
