For the 2nd year running Sandland Packaging are supporting St Basils Big Sleepout by providing the essential corrugated boxes needed by participants on the night. This annual fundraising event encourages participants to sleep outdoors for one night.
The event is being held on Friday 13th November and for the first time at the iconic Alexander Stadium in Birmingham. Along with providing the boxes, some of the Sandland Packaging team will be taking part in the event.
The boxes provide participants with a practical basic shelter for the night. The event will also feature live music, hot food and a creative cardboard competition. Sandland Packaging’s support demonstrates how local businesses can make a meaningful contribution to charitable initiatives by using their products, expertise and resources to support worthwhile causes.
Andy Batha, Sales Director, Sandland Packaging confirmed: “We’re proud to support St Basils and its important work tackling homelessness. As a corrugated packaging manufacturer, providing boxes is something practical we can contribute, but we’re also pleased to use our resources to help raise awareness of an issue that affects many young people.”
Barrie Hodge, Director of Income Generation and Value capture, confirmed, “Sandland Packaging’s support makes a huge difference to our Sleepout. By generously providing the cardboard boxes our supporters sleep in, they help us stage an event which raised £56,000 last year to support young people facing homelessness. We’re incredibly grateful to Sandland Packaging for their longstanding support and for continuing to play an important part in the success of the Sleepout.”
Sandland Packaging are committed to ongoing sustainability and local community support.
