The Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) enters 2026 with new leadership, as Emily Leonczyk, MBA, CAE, assumed the role of President effective January 1. Previously Executive Director and Vice President, Leonczyk has collaborated with the Board, Executive Committee, and members to position PPC as the trusted authority for folding carton and rigid box converters and suppliers.
PPC members face shifting brand expectations, sustainability demands, and speed-to-market pressures amid cautious consumer behavior. Leonczyk prioritizes member perspectives to foster collaboration and informed dialogue for industry growth.
“Our members are the voice of the folding carton and rigid box industries, and my top priority is making sure there is a seat at the table for their perspectives, experience, and shared challenges,” Leonczyk said. “This is an important moment for fiber-based packaging as brands and consumers look for impactful, sustainable solutions.”
Hilda S. Murray, Executive Vice President and Owner of TPC Printing & Packaging, was elected Chair of the PPC Board of Directors. TPC, a century-old family-owned converter in Chattanooga, Tennessee, excels in craftsmanship, innovation, and sustainability.
“It’s an honor to serve as PPC’s Board Chair at such a pivotal time,” Murray said. “My goal is to support our members through change, celebrate one another’s success, and keep the industry moving forward together.”
The Executive Committee includes Brian Janki (PaperWorks) as Secretary, Lisa Pruett (RRD Packaging Solutions) as Treasurer, and Members at Large Eric Malnove (Malnove Packaging Solutions) and Sam Shoemaker (Smurfit Westrock).
