UFP Packaging announced today that its corrugated division has received the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) Chain of Custody standard and the Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®) Chain of Custody and Corporate Policies standards. The certifications demonstrate the company’s commitment to ensuring its fiber comes from sustainably managed sources and help customers meet their own sustainability and sourcing requirements.
“As a supplier to the corrugated industry, we are proud to give our customers the confidence that their packaging choices support responsible sourcing and environmental stewardship,” said Nick Hoffman, Vice President of Protective Packaging. “These certifications build on sustainable practices we’ve followed for years, such as maximizing yield from each log to reduce wood waste.”
FSC® and SFI® Chain of Custody certifications govern the sourcing and tracking of materials throughout the supply chain. Products labeled with either certification originate from verified forests.
UFP Packaging’s corrugated division offers stock boxes from hundreds of SKUs. With advanced digital printing and die-cutting, the division also produces custom displays, shelf-ready packages and e-commerce solutions. Certification codes: FSC™ C221284, SFI-03837
