FrogTape®, a leader in premium painter’s tape, is proud to announce a packaging update to its flagship Multi-Surface and Delicate Surface painter’s tapes. Beginning this fall, these products will transition from plastic containers to recyclable paperboard packaging, reinforcing FrogTape’s commitment to sustainability and product innovation.
The shift marks a thoughtful reimagining of FrogTape’s iconic packaging. Known for its distinctive plastic container that stood out on shelves and protected tape edges from damage, FrogTape is now bringing that same level of care and recognition to a more sustainable format. Designed with curbside recyclable and FSC® Certified materials (FSC-C154304), the packaging maintains FrogTape’s bold visual identity while offering improved storage and environmental benefits. By removing plastic canisters, FrogTape aims to eliminate about 1 million pounds of plastic annually.
“From the paper and adhesive we use to the packaging that brings our products to market, we’re taking small steps that add up to a big environmental impact,” said Patti LaPorte, Director of Product Marketing at Shurtape Technologies. “And with this packaging update, consumers can trust that the new paperboard package provides the same protection to the trusted tape edges treated with PaintBlock® Technology, without sacrificing precision, offering a smarter, more sustainable way to paint.”
This packaging evolution is more than a material change–it’s a message. The new cartons will prominently feature the Signature Series badge, a unifying symbol across FrogTape’s premium offerings, which include Multi-Surface, Delicate Surface and the newly released Advanced Painter’s Tapes. This visual cue helps consumers quickly identify the brand’s highest-performing solutions, designed for when precision and protection matter most.
