New Delhi, June 21 (UNI) In a major step towards advancing digital label printing capabilities in India, Epson India on Thursday unveiled its first Digital Label Press Solution Centre at the Okhla Industrial Estate in New Delhi.
The facility is designed to serve as a live demonstration hub for Epson’s flagship high-speed UV inkjet label press, the SurePress L-6534VW, tailored for production runs of up to one million linear metres per month.
Targeting label printers, converters, and manufacturers, the Solution Centre will offer immersive experiences including live product demonstrations, substrate testing, and technical consultations. Epson aims to empower Indian businesses with the ability to make informed investment decisions by showcasing real-world performance under production conditions. “This Solution Centre is a strong reflection of Epson’s commitment to the Indian market, especially in the industrial printer segment,” said Okuzono Kazuomi, General Manager, IIJ Sales and Marketing, Epson. “It deepens customer engagement and demonstrates the value Epson delivers to the label industry.”
The SurePress L-6534VW, equipped with digital varnish capability, high-opacity white ink, and PrecisionCore printheads, delivers output at up to 600×1200 dpi resolution. With speeds of up to 50 metres per minute and advanced technologies such as Variable Sized Droplet Technology (VSDT), the press offers ultra-sharp quality and flexibility for a range of sectors including food & beverage, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and industrial products.
Prabagaran S, Senior General Manager, Sales and Marketing, Epson India, said, “The Delhi Solution Centre is a strategic step toward shaping the future of digital label printing in India. It’s about more than showcasing technology-it’s about enabling businesses to rethink efficiency, creativity, and sustainability.”
The new facility also reinforces Epson’s commitment to sustainable, high-efficiency printing by helping reduce waste, optimize operating costs, and minimize manual intervention. With India’s packaging and labelling sector witnessing rapid growth and increasing demand for short-run, fast-turnaround print solutions, Epson’s investment in this facility is seen as a timely response to market needs.
