Addressing the growing demand for precision in printing, Komori India has unveiled its PDC calibration service in Mumbai. The announcement was made during the Pamex 2024 event, where Komori officials shared insights into this new offering.
Awtar Singh, product manager at Komori India, detailed the PDC calibration service, stating, “Our machines feature advanced measuring systems such as PDC-SX or PDC-SG. These systems utilize densitometers and cameras to accurately read color bars, provide LAB values, and ensure automatic registration.”
Previously, audits for this system necessitated sending equipment to Japan. However, Singh highlighted that with the launch of local calibration services in India, this process becomes more efficient. “We are certified by our PDC supplier, marking a significant milestone as we introduce the PDC calibration service for the first time in India,” Singh added.
Jitender Rohilla, general manager of sales at Komori India, explained the rationale behind choosing Mumbai as the location for the service center. He noted, “Mumbai’s status as a hub for prominent printing and packaging companies makes it an ideal location. With numerous manufacturing units and headquarters in and around the city, Mumbai serves as a strategic base for catering to the industry’s needs.”
Komori also unveiled two products during Pamex, including the PERFECTOR 40 LP-140, designed for high-speed two-sided one-pass printing on thin paper, and KP-Connect, a printing task control software tailored for offset presses and digital printing systems.
With the launch of the PDC calibration service and innovative product offerings, Komori aims to meet the evolving needs of the printing industry while enhancing efficiency and precision for its customers.
