Mets\u00e4 Board\u2019s new European Supply Chain Centre (SCC) in Gda\u0144sk, Poland hosts a rapidly grown team of experts serving customers across EMEA. By centralising customer service and last leg logistics operations, Mets\u00e4 Board aims to further harmonise and enhance both the customer experience and last leg logistics vendor co-operation through harmonized, high-quality service. The official opening of the new Supply Chain Centre took place on 19 April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The historic city of Gda\u0144sk, Poland\u2019s main seaport, is home to a growing number of international business service centres that are attracting talented multilingual employees. Mets\u00e4 Group\u2019s Finance and Procurement teams have been located here since 2012, and have now been joined by colleagues from Mets\u00e4 Board\u2019s Supply Chain organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are already more than 100 people working in the newly established modern centre providing customer service and last leg logistics services to customers in EMEA. The centre also includes a Supply Chain Excellence team who handle customer feedback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe Supply Chain Centre was set up to help us further develop our customer service and logistics model so that we can provide high-quality, efficient expert services across EMEA. We now have more than 70 customer service specialists serving over 1,000 customers in 13 languages. Along with the customer service specialists we have almost 30 logistics specialists who look after logistics operations in close to 30 countries and cooperate with around 100 vendors,\u201d explains Maarten Florizoone<\/strong>, Vice President, Supply Chain at Mets\u00e4 Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cAs a growing international business hub and a familiar location for Mets\u00e4 Group, Gda\u0144sk was naturally high on the list when we were discussing where to establish the new Supply Chain Centre,\u201d says Eeva Kokkonen<\/strong>, Supply Chain Director, EMEA at Mets\u00e4 Board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The new centre welcomed its first employees in 2022.
