{"id":9481,"date":"2023-03-24T06:28:59","date_gmt":"2023-03-24T06:28:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cpmirror.com\/?p=9481"},"modified":"2023-03-24T06:28:59","modified_gmt":"2023-03-24T06:28:59","slug":"mondi-launches-2022-reporting-suite-delivering-sustainable-solutions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cpmirror.com\/index.php\/2023\/03\/24\/mondi-launches-2022-reporting-suite-delivering-sustainable-solutions\/","title":{"rendered":"Mondi launches 2022 reporting suite: Delivering Sustainable Solutions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mondi continues to make progress towards its MAP2030 sustainability commitments and targets<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>17% reduction in absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions compared with 2019 baseline<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>82% of revenue generated from reusable, recyclable or compostable products<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u20ac8.9 million in social investment for communities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mondigroup.com\/en\/sustainability\/sustainability-reports-and-publications\/\" target=\"_blank\">Full reporting suite available<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>20 March 2023: Mondi Group, a global leader in packaging and paper, has today released its 2022 reporting suite, including its Sustainable Development report, Integrated report and financial statements, and Sustainable Development indices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sustainable Development report provides a comprehensive overview of Mondi\u2019s approach to sustainability and performance against its Mondi Action Plan 2030 (MAP2030)&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mondigroup.com\/en\/sustainability\/approach\/map2030\/\" target=\"_blank\">commitments and targets.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Circular Driven Solutions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2022, Mondi made significant progress in developing innovative packaging and paper solutions that keep materials in circulation and avoid waste:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>82% of revenue was generated from packaging and paper products that are reusable, recyclable or compostable<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>234 products were assessed through Mondi\u2019s&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.mondigroup.com\/en\/sustainability\/approach\/product-life-cycle-assessment\/\" target=\"_blank\">Product Impact Assessment<\/a>&nbsp;tool and 336 Product Carbon Footprints were calculated<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4% reduction of absolute waste to landfill from our manufacturing processes since 2020<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Created by Empowered People<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Mondi\u2019s progress is made possible by empowered and inclusive teams that contribute to a better world in 2022:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>443,000 hours of training were completed, including 49% of hours dedicated to safety training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The \u2018Curious Community\u2019 launched as a Group-wide sounding board to develop D&amp;I initiatives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8% improvement of our Total Recordable Case Rate (compared with 2020 baseline)<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Taking Action on Climate<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The Sustainable Development report includes Mondi\u2019s first year of reporting against its science-based Net-Zero Targets. Progress included (compared with a 2019 baseline):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>17% reduction in the Group\u2019s Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>13% reduction in Scope 3 GHG emissions, across the value chain<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>15% reduction in absolute Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Group is committed to zero deforestation and 100% of Mondi\u2019s fibre was responsibly sourced in 2022, with 75% FSC\u2122&nbsp;or PEFC certified and the remainder meeting the FSC Controlled Wood standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Responsible Business Practices<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Mondi also made progress in delivering against its Responsible Business Practices targets, which underpin the MAP2030 performance:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>\u20ac8.9m investment in local communities, including a \u20ac2m donation to the World Food Programme to support people in need in Ukraine<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two human rights due diligence pilots in Mexico and T\u00fcrkiye<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>78% of supplier sites have been screened through Mondi\u2019s Responsible Procurement process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mondi continues to make progress towards its MAP2030 sustainability commitments and targets 20 March 2023: Mondi Group, a global leader in packaging and paper, has today released its 2022 reporting suite, including its Sustainable Development report, Integrated report and financial statements, and Sustainable Development indices.
