Antalis has expanded its presence in the European packaging market by acquiring Germany-based Speidel Verpackungen, a manufacturer specializing in custom-engineered packaging solutions. The financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded in 1981, Speidel Verpackungen employs around 60 people and generated nearly \u20ac17 million (approximately US$19.5 million) in revenue last year. The company serves a broad range of industries, including medical technology, mechanical engineering, metalworking, and automotive, with tailored packaging solutions designed to meet specific customer requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speidel\u2019s manufacturing capabilities include corrugated and heavy-duty corrugated board packaging, as well as wood- and foam-based protective packaging solutions. The acquisition aligns with Antalis\u2019 strategy of strengthening its position in the customised packaging segment, which the company considers a key driver of future growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Commenting on the acquisition, Antalis CEO Herv\u00e9 Poncin said the addition of Speidel Verpackungen enhances the company\u2019s expertise in bespoke packaging and further strengthens its ability to deliver high-value solutions to customers across Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speidel Verpackungen Managing Director Rainer Speidel welcomed the move, stating that joining Antalis will provide the company with access to a broader international network, increased resources, and opportunities to invest in innovation while expanding the reach of its sustainable packaging portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The acquisition continues Antalis\u2019 expansion strategy in the packaging sector.
