FESPA UK has appointed Sarah Lees as its new Next Generation Ambassador, formalising her long-term commitment to the trade association\u2019s youth-focused networking and mentorship scheme. Lees, who serves as Head of Marketing and Communications at Business Compass Finance, has actively supported the initiative since its early development stages, acting as a core mentor over the past four years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Next Generation programme is designed to support young professionals aged between 18 and 30 who are starting careers within the British print, signage and graphics sectors. The initiative provides a collaborative network and a secure environment for emerging talent to connect with experienced industry mentors, share ideas and develop technical and commercial skills. The scheme is open to all young professionals across the wider industry, rather than being restricted solely to FESPA UK members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In her expanded ambassadorial capacity, Lees will work alongside Molly Jackson, Head of Next Generation, and the programme\u2019s steering committee to drive strategic growth. Her responsibilities include enhancing engagement across the group\u2019s online communities, raising the profile of print careers nationwide and serving as an established senior voice for the initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jackson said, \u2018Sarah has been a supporter of the Next Generation initiative from the very beginning. She then became a mentor and now seeing her step into the role of Ambassador is a huge moment. She has been an inspiration to me and many others, and her guidance, encouragement and belief in young talent have helped shape Next Generation into what it is today\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The appointment recognises the voluntary contribution Lees has made to the sector, particularly her role in mentoring Jackson and guiding the committee\u2019s outreach projects.
