The collaboration enables a fully integrated fiber\u2011based tray system that combines a lightweight barrier liner and top web, tailored for protein and chilled ready\u2011meal applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The solution will be featured at Interpack, Europe\u2019s largest packaging event, from 7\u201313 May in D\u00fcsseldorf, where it will run live on G. Mondini\u2019s Trave\u00ae <\/sup>Streamline machine. The Amcor development team worked closely with G. Mondini to ensure seamless machine performance for meat and food producers, with their demonstration marking a significant step toward the adoption of fiber\u2011based packaging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Engineered to protect perishable foods and extend shelf life, the AmFiberTM<\/sup> tray and film combination responds to rising consumer confidence in more sustainable materials. It offers brands a distinctive packaging format that enhances shelf appeal and supports environmental commitments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The AmFiber\u2122 tray is designed using MuotoTM<\/sup>, a novel molded fibre packaging solution developed by Mets\u00e4 Group\u2019s innovation company, Mets\u00e4 Spring. It offers a recyclable* solution based on renewable wood sourced from northern forests. It is complemented by Amcor\u2019s range of advanced barrier liners and top\u2011web films to address different product applications. Designed for use with MAP and Skin technologies, the solution can help reduce plastic use while prolonging shelf life.
