The next-generation product advances circularity with a breakthrough recyclability rating of&nbsp;Recyclable&nbsp;with&nbsp;Paper<sup>1<\/sup>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new\u00a0Acti-V\u00ae RRF Natural\u00a0liner builds on Ahlstrom innovative low-impact design ,\u00a0leveraging\u00a0 recycled and unbleached fibers, while also enabling end-of-life recyclability of the product. The new\u00a0repulpable\u00a0RRF formulation enables recyclability even when silicone-coated on both sides. Double-sided PSA tapes are used in countless products, joining materials with strength, durability, and precision. Their silicone-coated paper release liners protect and carry the adhesive until application, ensuring consistent processing and performance. Liners that are typically high-density supercalendered\u00a0papers\u00a0silicone-coated on both sides have been difficult to recycle into new pulp and paper products. They score as Not Recyclable in laboratory testing due to hydrophobic surfaces and high reject rates.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ahlstrom\u2019s new Acti-V\u00ae RRF Natural addresses these challenges and offers further improvements:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Recyclable With Paper:\u00a0measured with the CEPI Recyclability Test Method<sup>1<\/sup>, Europe\u2019s paper recyclability standard of reference. A\u00a0first for a double-side silicone-coated supercalendered release liner\u2014supporting PSA tape producers and users in meeting ambitious circularity targets.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Unbleached strength, lighter weight:\u00a0The unbleached fiber mix delivers higher mechanical robustness, enabling the use of reduced paper basis weight without loss of performance.
