Hinojosa Packaging Group has finalised the acquisition of ASV Packaging, a French benchmark in folding cartons for the food and consumer goods sectors, with more than 34 years of expertise. This marks the culmination of the process launched in July 2023, when Hinojosa acquired a 49% stake in the French company. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The integration reinforces Hinojosa\u2019s footprint in France and broadens its packaging solutions portfolio. The Group now operates seven production sites in the country: one paper mill, three corrugated board plants and ASV\u2019s three folding carton facilities. With this operation, 200 professionals join Hinojosa\u2019s workforce, bringing the total close to 3,000 employees. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the same time, Hinojosa consolidates in France a full range of packaging solutions: unit cartons, trays, e-commerce packaging and displays. The Group strengthens its position as a leading player in folding cartons, with nine specialised plants across Spain, Portugal and France. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
All of this is underpinned by a decentralised management model, which preserves the autonomy of each site to swiftly adapt to local market needs and deliver a close and flexible service. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The acquisition also boosts their joint commitment to innovation in sustainable packaging. One example is HALOPACK\u00ae<\/strong>, the cardboard tray that replaces traditional rigid plastic trays for fresh food. Hinojosa is the exclusive producer of this solution in the Iberian Peninsula, while ASV manufactures it in France. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Sustainability is another core pillar for both companies, whose strategies are focused on helping customers achieve their ESG goals and anticipate European regulations.
