Celebrating its 20th<\/sup> anniversary year, the UK Packaging Awards 2025 took place in London on Wednesday 8th<\/sup> October, recognising outstanding achievements in packaging design, innovation, performance and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Coveris was named Packaging Company of the Year<\/strong> in recognition of its leadership across sustainability, innovation, operational performance, and culture. Judges praised Coveris for its consistent achievements, noting: \u201cCoveris has demonstrated exceptional performance across every judging dimension – innovation, sustainability, operational investment, and people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Reflecting its expertise innovating recyclable flexible film packaging, Coveris won Flexible Plastic Pack of the Year<\/strong> for its MonoFlexP PaperFeel pack developed for Lidl\u2019s Butcher\u2019s sausage range, produced by Cranswick. Replacing a complex triple laminate format, MonoFlexP PaperFeel combines recyclability with a unique tactile paper-like finish. The monomaterial film maintains shelf life and protects product integrity while delivering strong shelf appeal for chilled meats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Coveris also received the Best New Concept Award<\/strong> for MonoFlex Thermoform PaperFeel, an innovative development in recyclable thermoforming packaging. Formulated from polyethylene, the packaging is a replacement for traditional mixed material laminates, providing the protection of plastic with the visual and tactile appeal of paper. The solution is designed to meet the performance and functional demands of protein-based products such as sliced meats, fish, bacon, and cheese, while delivering premium cues and a contribution to waste reduction across the value chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Amberley Labels secured Label of the Year<\/strong> for its work with Aureus Vita\u2019s Fibonacci Dry Gin. The award recognises the exceptional design and production of a label that reflects the originality and premium nature of the product. Digitally printed, the label features crisp typography and a rich, textured base.
