Mondi, a global leader in sustainable packaging and paper, welcomed international customers and partners to celebrate the start-up of its Duino mill in Italy following the successful conversion of its existing paper machine into a high-quality recycled containerboard machine. The event underlined Mondi\u2019s commitment to supporting customers with sustainable, fit-for-purpose packaging and showcased the production capabilities of its recycled containerboard machine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once fully ramped up, the paper machine will produce 420,000 tonnes of high-quality recycled containerboard annually, increasing Mondi\u2019s integration and enhancing security of supply for customers. The mill\u2019s product portfolio includes waste-based fluting, starting with 80 gsm, testliner from 90 gsm upwards, and paper reels from 0.95 m to 3.35 m on Mondi\u2019s widest recycled paper machine. Mondi Duino offers short delivery distances to local and neighbouring markets while also serving international customers through nearby ports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
