On 15 October 2025, he will take over the role of Chief Financial Officer from Dr. Volker Metz, who is leaving the company at the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe would like to thank Dr. Metz for his loyalty and the key role he has played in recent years. His contribution has been crucial to our growth. At the same time, we are absolutely delighted to have appointed Dr. Finken, who is a proven leader with international experience and an established expert with an in-depth knowledge of the financial markets. I\u2019m very confident that he will be a key force in driving the future development of our company,\u201d says <strong>Maximilian Heindl<\/strong>, Chief Executive Officer of Progroup AG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Working with him and his colleagues on the Executive Board, Vinzenz Heindl (CSO), Beate Flamm (CCO) and Dr. Marc Sesterhenn (COO), Finken will continue to drive forward the company\u2019s focus on ensuring it has a secure future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He stresses: \u201cParticularly in a challenging economic environment, as well as focusing on strict cost controlling, it\u2019s important to demonstrate reliability, clear priorities and forward-looking financial management. I look forward to working with the Executive Board team to shape the company\u2019s future so that we can resolutely drive forward its sustainable growth on a financially solid basis.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Thorben Finken holds a doctorate in business administration and has more than 25 years of leadership experience in roles with financial responsibility, focusing on strategic corporate development and transformation. He began his career at McKinsey &amp; Comp., and then spent over 15 years in leadership roles at The Linde Group, including as CFO UK &amp; Africa.
