Spread across a\u00a0<strong>200,000 sq. ft. site<\/strong>, this state-of-the-art unit represents the company\u2019s most ambitious corrugation expansion to date, built to serve India\u2019s rapidly growing\u00a0<strong>fresh produce export market<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pune facility adds to Astron\u2019s existing operations in\u00a0<strong>Ahmedabad and Dubai<\/strong>, while strategically positioning the company closer to its largest customer base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNearly 80% of our fresh produce packaging demand comes from Maharashtra,\u201d\u00a0said\u00a0<strong>Niraj Darji, President of Astron Packaging<\/strong>.\u00a0\u201cBy setting up in Pune, we are able to drastically cut transportation and logistics costs while providing faster, more responsive delivery and service to our customers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Equipped with a\u00a0<strong>high-speed corrugation line from leading European and Chinese manufacturers<\/strong>, the plant is designed for world-class efficiency and flexibility. At full capacity, it will process\u00a0<strong>10,000 tonnes of board per month<\/strong>, making it the\u00a0<strong>largest single-location corrugation plant in India<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Currently operating&nbsp;<strong>one corrugation and one converting line in two shifts<\/strong>, Astron plans to commission additional lines by&nbsp;<strong>October 2025<\/strong>, further boosting output.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company has also invested in&nbsp;<strong>cassette-type corrugation technology<\/strong>&nbsp;and a&nbsp;<strong>dedicated quality lab<\/strong>&nbsp;to meet the stringent requirements of export-grade packaging.
