Competing amongst 220 entries, Carminati was honored to receive a handful of awards for its work with leading printers and brand owners on 13 November 2024. These accolades are not only a testament to Carminati\u2019s superior prepress expertise but also to the exceptional print quality made possible by XSYS\u2019 new nyloflex eco plates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to have won so many awards with our new sustainable nyloflex eco FAC plates which we believe is the future of flexo. As a beta site, we collaborated closely with XSYS during the development and testing of this new technology. The plates perform exceptionally well on press, delivering high quality print while also reducing our climate impact to meet our customers\u2019 very complex demands,\u201d said CEO <strong>Carlo Carminati<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Carminati together with four of its customers were honored for outstanding corrugated print jobs produced with XSYS\u2019 nyloflex eco FAC plates. The awards include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Gold in the \u2018Innovative Use of the Flexographic Process\u2019 category won with Toppazzini SpA for Bottega Gold Prosecco (box of six bottles). This entry also took home the coveted top trophy, securing the judges\u2019 votes for \u2018Best in Show\u2019. They praised the precision, smooth gradients, realistic texture, and color effects achieved using the four process colors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All three prizes in the \u2018Corrugated Board Processed on a Case-maker\u2019 category: Gold for Scatolificio Ceriana; and Silver and Bronze for Scatolificio Ondulkart.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bronze for Antonio Sada &amp; Figli SpA in the \u2018Uncoated Corrugated Post-Print\u2019 category.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are incredibly proud to have contributed to Carminati\u2019s success at the Best in Flexo Awards with our groundbreaking plate technology,\u201d said Roberto Malagu, XSYS Regional Sales Manager, Italy. \u201cnyloflex eco plates helped secure not only five awards but also brought home Best in Show. This clearly proves that moving to more sustainable plates does not compromise on print quality. In fact, it may even improve it!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The awards follow Carminati\u2019s earlier success at the FTA Europe Diamond Awards 2024, held during drupa, in Germany, on 30 May. At this pan-European event, the prepress provider dominated the \u2018Corrugated Post-Print Uncoated Double Flute\u2019 category, securing both the first and the third prize for Scatolificio Ceriana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Operating mainly in the corrugated market, Carminati is located in Antegnate, east of Milan, in northern Italy, from where it supplies plates to customers all over Italy, France and further afield. The prepress company recently installed another ThermoFlexX Catena Washer, Dryer, Light-Finisher, and Stacker (WDLS), the second such system from XSYS in less than two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cXSYS is currently the only supplier in the flexo industry offering both equipment and plates, and this gives us full confidence in the partnership.
