{"id":16365,"date":"2025-03-06T12:45:28","date_gmt":"2025-03-06T12:45:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cpmirror.com\/?p=16365"},"modified":"2025-03-06T12:45:28","modified_gmt":"2025-03-06T12:45:28","slug":"afpa-responds-to-25-tariffs-on-canada-and-mexico","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cpmirror.com\/index.php\/2025\/03\/06\/afpa-responds-to-25-tariffs-on-canada-and-mexico\/","title":{"rendered":"AF&#038;PA Responds to 25% Tariffs on Canada and Mexico"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The American Forest &amp; Paper Association (AF&amp;PA) President and CEO <strong>Heidi Brock<\/strong> issued the following statement regarding President Donald Trump\u2019s announcement of 25% tariffs on all products from Canada and Mexico and related retaliatory measures:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhile we recognize the Administration\u2019s goals of securing our borders, AF&amp;PA remains concerned that today\u2019s new North American tariffs have potential to seriously disrupt our industry\u2019s complex, cross-border supply chains. These manufacturing processes have been built and refined with the customer in mind around existing mill infrastructure for decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPulp and paper mills are strategically located across the United States to efficiently and sustainably create essential products for everyday use.
