Currently, approximately 80 percent of the energy used globally is fossil-based. Billerud is actively working to reduce fossil emissions and meet its Science Based Targets (SBT), with the goal of decreasing the company\u2019s fossil emissions by 42 percent by 2030.The initiative was launched in the spring of 2024 by Alfa Laval, Boliden, SKF, Stora Enso, and the Volvo Group as equal shareholders.
