Valmet Bale Tester is a reliable and real-time measuring system for recovered paper, providing an opportunity to reduce operational costs and to improve the recycled fiber line performance.<br><br>The order was included in Valmet\u2019s orders received of the first quarter 2024. The value of the order will not be disclosed. The scheduled delivery period will be during the fourth quarter of 2024.<br><br>Papresa is currently lacking a reliable system to control the quality of recovered paper delivered to the mill. Valmet Bale Tester measures the moisture and other contaminants, such as plastic and ash of the recovered paper. The information is automatically stored in the mill\u2019s database, analyzed, and further utilized for optimizing the production process.<br><br>\u201cWe are really looking forward to getting the Valmet Bale Tester installed. We believe that the real-time measurement system will improve the quality of recovered paper delivered to us, leading to decrease in operational costs and enhanced end-product quality,\u201d says I\u00f1aki S\u00e1nchez, Mill Manager at Papresa.<br><br>\u201cValmet Bale Tester has been on the market for over 20 years and has a large, global installed base. Based on the vast number of references, it is expected that Papresa will see raw material quality increase, meaning a fast payback for the investment,\u201d says\u00a0<strong>Alvaro\u00a0Echevarria<\/strong>, Senior Mill Sales Manager at Valmet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Delivery\u2019s technical information<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Valmet\u2019s delivery will include the installation of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.valmet.com\/board-and-paper\/recycled-fiber\/occ-lines\/bale-handing-and-pulping\/bale-tester\/\"><u>Valmet Bale Tester<\/u><\/a>&nbsp;On-truck solution, extended with ash and lignin sensors and related software, the system\u2019s start-up and a spare parts package. The On-truck model measures the raw material samples directly from the bale onboard the truck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About the customer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Papresa is a Spanish paper production company with over 125 years in the market. At the Errenteria mill it houses two bleaching plants, three paper production lines, a steam plant and a water treatment plant.
